Current Social Mobilizations in Southeast Asia (2000-2022). From Resilience to Resistance

This atelier aims at highlighting different social mobilizations which are more or less articulated to critics, under different degrees of intensity. Based on empirical research carried out in Southeast Asia, the contributors examine mobilizations located in a space that is circumscribed not only by political factors but also by cultural forces and their values (mutual help, social hierarchy, religious props), material circuits of exchange (like non-commercial networks, or virtual interfaces for the circulation of information and communication), and social inter-relations enabling innovation for resilience and strategies for resistance.
